 Hope Court aka "The Cage". Hope court is located near Hope Township School. The North end of the court (where many ankles have been turned) and also the fact that the South goal is a little shorter than regulation (Perfect for dunking) and let's not forget the double rims. "Spyda-Man" Demarest, "Big Joe" LaRena, Ed Demarest, Ron Vanscoten and Corey Ratliff. The court became a summer ritual for kids to hang out and play ball. Everyday would be a new pick-up game, Game of Taps, or H.O.R.S.E that would last until dark. People from NY, PA and all over Jersey would come here to play. Hope Court was the home of "Team Unleashed" who played in the Nike sponsored Hoop It Up Tourney. "The Unleashed" was comprised of Brian Grant, the Demarest brothers and Josh Hammerstone. |
